my top three favorite books
If you are anything like me you love to read. The summer of 2014 I read around 100 books. I couldn’t stop reading, I was completely engrossed in all of the stories and I would devour books like they were my favorite candy. While a lot has changed over the last six years, and I don’t have quite as much time I still love to read. I will read anything from self help books to adult and YA fiction. Listed below are some of my favorite books and series to help keep you busy during quarantine.
- The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. This was the series that got me hooked on reading. I picked it up at Barnes and Nobel without knowing anything about it, I chose it purely on the cover. I am so happy that I bought that book because I recommend it to everyone I know. I’m not going to tell you anything about the plot because I think its better to go into this series blind. However, I will say that Clare does an amazing job at painting beautiful scenery and has an uncanny ability to tell a story. While reading this series I felt as if I was actually inside of the Shadowhunting world. It was as if the setting of the book was so real that it was palpable. - Why Men Love Bitches by Sherry Argov. After getting out of a horrible, shitty, abusive relationship this book changed the way that I look at dating and at relationships. This book reminded me how badass and amazing I am, and that I deserve only the best. I recommend this book to all women, but specifically women who have just gotten out of a relationship and feel like they have lost their sense of self. - Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson. As a person who lives with anxiety this book helped me so much. I love how Sadie gives practical advice. I related to her so much because she talks about her struggles with anxiety and how her faith has helped her to live fearless. Buy Live Fearless here: https://amzn.to/2QoYaJN
